data recovery

There are broadly 2 data recovery scenarios:

  1. Your operating system won't boot but the hard disk is still working.
  2. The hard disk has failed completely.

We deal primarily with the first scenario where the Knoppix Linux bootable CD-ROM has proved invaluable in recovering lost data on all PC operating systems. Knoppix is a full-featured Linux distribution which runs entirely from the CD-ROM drive and which can be used in console or X-windows mode depending on the amount of RAM available. Since Linux can read Windows NTFS and FAT32 partitions and can create CD-ROM backups from the command line, it provides an effective data recovery urce for failing Windows systems.

If your hard disk has failed outright we can refer you to a dedicated disk recovery service with the right laboratory conditions.
